Denise Richards & Husband Aaron Phypers' Car Shot At During Scary Road Rage Incident

Denise Richards and her husband Aaron Phypers were involved in a terrifying road rage incident.

Aaron, 50, was driving their Ford F-150 Shelby pick-up truck while Denise was sitting in the passenger seat heading to the Popsicle Studio in Los Angeles, a source told People.

As they headed to the studio, Aaron noticed that a gold and maroon van was following them.

“[Aaron] could tell — he kept making rights because they were clearly being followed,” the source says. “The guy was obviously pissed behind him.”

“The van was on his tail, pushing him almost… they couldn’t figure it out,” the source continued, adding that Denise and Aaron were both “frantic” over the situation.

Eventually, the van pulled up to the left of the couple’s truck, and Aaron rolled his window down to confront the driver.

During their exchange, the driver “went off on them,” claiming that Aaron cut him off. Even though Aaron apologized, the man continued to yell at them, so Aaron drove off.

It wasn’t until they reached the studio that Denise and Aaron realized that the man had shot the back of the truck. Luckily, no one was injured.

The guy had taken off by then, but when they realized the car was shot, they were really freaked out, and the production secured the scene,” the source explained. “Even though they were upset, [Denise] decided to stay and film. Her role was just a one-day deal.”

The source continued, “The production company made her feel safe but they didn’t file a police report. They think now that people were after the car itself because it’s worth a lot of money.”

While no police report was filed, the source confirms that someone from production called the authorities after the incident. However, it’s unclear if officers responded to the scene.

As for how Denise is holding up, the source said, “She was very shaken up and terrified, but she was a trooper and she went and filmed the whole day.”

We’re glad to hear Denise and Aaron are doing ok after the incident.
