Al Roker Hospitalized For Blood Clots in His Legs & Lungs

Al Roker shared on social media that he is currently in the hospital, explaining why he has been absent from The Today Show recently.

“So many of you have been thoughtfully asking where I’ve been,” Al wrote. “Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs. After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery.”

“Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers and hope to see you soon. Have a great weekend, everyone,” the 68-year-old TV anchor said, as he concluded his caption of a picture of flowers he received.

“He’s in good spirits,” Savanah Guthrie said on Today. “We love you, Al. We miss you!”

In 2020, Al revealed he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, and took time off to undergo surgery.
