Iggy Azalea Says She Sold a Portion of Her Catalog for a Huge Amount of Money: 'I Don't Have to Work Another Day in My Life'

Iggy Azalea is clarifying reports about her music catalog.

The 32-year-old “Black Widow” superstar responded to a post on social media about the alleged sale of her song masters, and she cleared up some confusion about what it actually means for her as an artist.

In a tweet on Monday (November 21), the Female Rap Room account wrote: “@IGGYAZALEA has sold her master recording and publishing catalog to Domain Capital for an eight-figure sum. The deal includes the master and publishing share of her biggest hits ‘Fancy,’ ‘Problem,’ and ‘Black Widow.’”

When a fan shared concern in the replies, Iggy responded.

“i just hope she doesn’t end up like taylor [swift] (no shade at all, just using it as an example),” the fan wrote.

Taylor did not profit from that sale. I sold a portion of my catalog to who I wanted, for an amount that means I don’t have to work another day in my life,” Iggy clarified.

“I love y’all down but the masters conversation is a little beyond most of your understanding of business.”
