Rebel Wilson Speaks Out After Backlash Over The Lack Of Plus-Size Options In Her New Clothing Line

Rebel Wilson has come under fire from fans after launching the new collection in her fashion line, R&R Club.

The 42-year-old actress, and new mom, launched the line with partner Ramona Agruma, and it consists of cozy white sweatpants and matching hoodies.

After the launch, fans noticed that in a few of the listings, the sizing only went up to XL.

“Can we talk about the lack of size inclusivity in Rebel Wilson’s new brand??? wtf,” TikTok user Destiny Ann said in a video.

She added, “I don’t understand how someone who is plus size for the majority of her career, the majority of her life — someone who knows how hard it is to be fat, to shop for clothing and actually find it in your size — I don’t understand how someone with that background, that knowledge, can release a brand that only goes up to an XL.”

Another one who criticized the lack of options was Lacey-Jade Christie.

“rebel! why’d you forget about us?!” she captioned her video. “I know she’s not fat anymore, but the fat community supported Rebel Wilson for her whole career,” adding she was “floored and flabbergasted” the lack of larger sizes.

Following the backlash, Rebel took to her Instagram Stories, explaining that it’s just two of the styles that only go up to XL, and that she and Ramona are “experimenting”.

“We are experimenting with this limited capsule collection of only two pieces in limited sizes,” she wrote, before sharing new follow up posts, asking fans what colors and sizes they’d want to see in the collection in the next round.
