Will Smith Reveals Rihanna's Reaction to His New Movie 'Emancipation'

Will Smith counts Rihanna as a celebrity fan of his new movie Emancipation.

The 54-year-old King Richard star revealed the 34-year-old “We Found Love” singer’s reaction to the movie during a recent interview.

Based on what he said, she would recommend giving the movie a watch as soon as possible.

“Rihanna loved the cinematography,” Will told E! News. “She could not get over the look of the film and how it felt.”

He added that he was able to get a solid read on one demographic’s reaction during the movie’s November 30 premiere. “The thing that’s great with Black people is they talk to the screen the whole time, so you don’t have to ask people’s opinion,” he said. “So, I didn’t have to ask anybody’s opinion from the room.”

Emancipation premiered in select theaters on December 2 and will be available on Apple TV+ as of December 9.
