Omar Apollo Reveals Which Male Actor He Had a Crush on Growing Up
Omar Apollo is sharing his childhood crush!
The 25-year-old queer singer, who recently responded to queerbaiting accusations with a tweet that went immediately viral, is opening up about who he liked growing up.
During an appearance at Variety‘s Hitmakers Brunch, where Omar was being honored with the TikTok Future Icon Award, he was asked about those tweets, and revealed who he crushed on during childhood.
“I said what I said,” he said with a smile.
“To be honest, I didn’t even think about it. I was at a dinner and I saw the tweet and answered and then ate dinner. At the end of the dinner, I looked at my phone and I was like, ‘Oh, no.’ It was so funny, my friend’s dad like saw it and I was like, ‘Oh, no, that’s kind of embarrassing.’ But it was great. He thought it was really funny,” he continued.
He also said he was excited to see Selena Gomez at the brunch, and recalled watching her on Wizards of Waverly Place.
“I was obsessed…I had a crush on somebody on the cast,” he said, revealing it was David Henrie.
