Broadway's Ethan Slater Cast as Boq in 'Wicked' Movies

Ethan Slater has landed a supporting role in the new Wicked movies!

Sources are confirming to Variety that the actor – who earned a Tony nomination for his work in the SpongeBob SquarePants Broadway musical – will portray Boq.

Minor spoilers: Boq is friends with Elphaba and Glinda’s friend during their time at Shiz University and goes on to become the love interest of Nessarose. Through a series of events, he winds up becoming the Tin Man.

The movies are also set to star Cynthia Erivo as Elphana and Ariana Grande as Glinda. Jonathan Bailey is portraying Fiyero and Jeff Goldblum is in talks to play the Wizard.
