'Grey's Anatomy' Writer Elisabeth Finch Confesses to Lying About Cancer Diagnosis, Reveals Why She Did It & More in Tell All Interview

Elisabeth Finch, the writer who was found to be shockingly faking so many details about her life to inspire episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, is admitting everything in a new interview.

Back in March, The Ankler published bombshell findings claiming she had been faking many hardships in her life including that she was diagnosed with bone cancer, that she’d lost a kidney and part of her leg in a misdiagnosis, claimed her brother had died by suicide, claimed she knew a victim of the mass shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue, and more.

She even went as far as to tape a dummy catheter to her arm and shave her head to fake going through chemotherapy while at Grey’s. She joined the Grey‘s writing staff in 2015, and exited in 2022 when her lies were unveiled.

Now, she’s admitting that she faked her cancer battle and fabricated these stories in a new interview, ironically, with the very publication that discovered her fraudulent claims in the first place.
