National Board of Review Announces 2022 Honorees, Including ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Taking Top Award!
The National Board of Review has announced the 2022 honorees for the upcoming NBR Awards Gala, which will take place next month.
The NBR was established in 1909 and the organization recognizes excellence in filmmaking every year. The organization says that this year, “269 films were viewed by a select group of film enthusiasts, filmmakers, professionals, academics, and students, many of which were followed by in-depth discussions with directors, actors, producers, and screenwriters.”
Top Gun: Maverick picked up the top award of the year, which is giving it even more awards buzz as we head into the Oscars season.
NBR also released a list of the 10 best films of the year, in addition to honorees for Best Actor, Best Actress, and more.
