Derek Jeter Shares Adorable Reason Why Daughter Bella, 5, Interrupted His Yankee Stadium Speech!

Derek Jeter‘s daughters had only one thing on their mind when they visited Yankee Stadium back in September!

On Friday (December 9), the 48-year-old retired Yankee player appeared on Today and looked back at bringing his daughters – River, 1, Story, 3½, and Bella, 5 – to their first baseball game, which included a ceremony celebration his induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

During his speech at the ceremony, Bella interrupted him, and Derek is now revealing what she said to him!

Derek explained that he had to “bribe” his two older daughters to go to the game, saying, “I told them if they stay in their seats, I’d get them some ice cream afterward.”

Blissfully unaware of the importance of her dad’s speech, Bella interrupted Derek to ask about the arrangement.

“I’m actually giving a speech, and my oldest is tapping me on the shoulder and she said, ‘Tell everyone that I’m getting ice cream after the game,’” Derek recalled.

Before the game, Derek shared a video on Instagram in the car with wife Hannah Jeter an they talked with their daughters about visiting Yankee Stadium for the first time.

“Guys, are you guys excited to go to Yankee Stadium?” Hannah, 32, asked the girls, to which Bella responded, “Yeah!”

“Yeah, what do you want to see at Yankee Stadium?” Derek asked.

“I want to eat!” Bella said. When Derek asked what else, Story added, “Eat ice cream.”

The girls then adorably went on and on about eating hot dogs and ice cream.
