Elon Musk Reacts to Elton John Announcing His Departure From Twitter, Questions Claims of Misinformation & Seemingly Questions 'Rocket Man' Star Wrote Tweet

Elton John got a response from Elon Musk after he announced plans to depart Twitter.

The 75-year-old “Rocket Man” star tweeted that he would be leaving the social media platform following a rise in misinformation.

“All my life I’ve tried to use music to bring people together. Yet it saddens me to see how misinformation is now being used to divide our world,” he wrote. “I’ve decided to no longer use Twitter, given their recent change in policy which will allow misinformation to flourish unchecked.”

Elon took to Twitter to pen a response.

The Space X billionaire appeared concerned about keeping Elton on the app at first.

“I love your music. Hope you come back. Is there any misinformation in particular that you’re concerned about,” he tweeted.

Elon then proceeded to interact with fans who questioned the misinformation Elton was referring to and claimed that the musician didn’t pen the tweet himself.

A new report suggests that hate speech is on the rise on Twitter despite claims of otherwise from the new owner.

Elton recently made headlines upon revealing if he thought his sons would pursue careers in music. There have also been conversations about the possibility of working with a legendary collaborator again.
