Zoe Saldana Says Marvel's Secrecy Was 'Annoying' When It Came To The Scripts

Zoe Saldana is opening up about Marvel‘s secrecy tactics.

Fans know that Marvel Studios keeps a lot of things about their movies under lock and key, and many actors in the MCU have been reprimanded for posting any inkling of their script or and behind-the-scenes images before the movie is released.

Earlier this summer, the studio actually told Zoe to remove a video she had posted on her own Instagram, which showed her flipping through a binder that apparently contained information about the film. She did repost the video, with a very visible edit.

In a new interview, Zoe spoke about the tactics.

Speaking to InStyle in support of her newest movie, Avatar: The Way of Water, Zoe said that being forced to take the video down and all the secrecy “can be annoying sometimes.”

She added that with all the security around the content in the script, it left her with just hours to work out her lines.

“That’s not cool, because you have to memorize, you have to prepare, you have to do research. And I tend to take myself a little too seriously sometimes,” Zoe added. “I really enjoy working with filmmakers that don’t underestimate my intelligence and know that I am an adult. I will be discreet. It is as important to me as it is for him or her that I don’t let these scripts out of my sight.”
