Lizzo Surprises Fans With 'Saturday Night Live' Performance Announcement

Lizzo has a surprise: She’s performing on Saturday Night Live next week.

The 34-year-old Special superstar is set to take the stage as the musical guest alongside host Austin Butler for the December 17 show.

SNL broke the news about her upcoming performances during the December 10 show, which is hosted by Steve Martin and Martin Short and already featured a cameo from Selena Gomez.

Lizzo hopped on social media shortly thereafter to celebrate the news

“Surprise,” she tweeted alongside the announcement. She signed off with a Christmas tree emoji, seemingly implying that she might have something special planned since the episode will air so close to Christmas.

This isn’t Lizzo‘s first time on the popular late-night show. She hosted and performed on the show earlier this year.
