The 1994 track now has 9 total weeks at No. 1 atop the Hot 100, becoming the first song to have led at No. 1 at four different times. It first topped the Hot 100 in 2019, then again in 2020. It returned in 2021, and now it’s back in 2022!

The song also extends the longest span from a song’s first week at No. 1 on the Hot 100 to three years, December 2019 to December 2022.

It also extends Mariah‘s record for the longest span of an artist ranking at No. 1 on the chart – 32 years, four months and three weeks – from her first week at No. 1 in 1990 with her debut single “Vision of Love.”

The song extends its record for the most time at No. 1 for a holiday song as well. “The Chipmunk Song,” by David Seville & the Chipmunks, spent four weeks at No. 1 starting in 1958.

She now has an 88th week at No. 1 on the Hot 100, further extending her reign with the most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Rihanna comes in next at 60 weeks.

Mariah Carey brought a very special collaborator onstage during the Friday night (December 9) stop of her Merry Christmas to All tour!
