Jensen Ackles Reveals He Really Wanted Pedro Pascal's Role in 'The Last Of Us'

Jensen Ackles is opening up about the one role he really wanted to get – Joel in HBO’s The Last of Us.

The 44-year-old actor and producer revealed during a recent fan event that he pushed really hard to be considered for the part, which ultimately went to Pedro Pascal.

Jensen spoke to fans at a recent Supernatural convention and revealed the tidbit.

“I was really kind of pushing hard, but I don’t think I was really in the mix or really had a shot at it,” Jensen admitted about his want for the part.

He added that the series was “really, I was like– that was high up on my radar.”

While he didn’t get that part, Jensen is going to film another game-inspired project soon.

“I am about to head up to LA to shoot a whole day for a new game that’s coming out as a character… I can’t say what it is just yet, but you’ll find out soon enough,” he teased.

Currently, Jensen is starring on ABC’s Big Sky, and everyone wants to be in scenes with him.
