Watch the Trailer for Jesse Eisenberg's Directorial Debut, Starring Julianne Moore!

Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard star as a mother and son who struggle to connect and navigate their complicated relationship in When You Finish Saving the World, which marks the directorial debut of Jesse Eisenberg.

The film that is based on Jesse‘s 2020 audio drama of the same name and the trailer is out now.

When You Finish Saving the World premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2022. The trailer, which was released last month, shows the complex nature of the mother-son relationship.

“Hey Mom, can you drive me today?,” Ziggy Katz (Wolfhard) asks his mom.

“Are you ready to go now?,” Evenlyn Katz (Moore) replies.

“Yeah, just give me like 5 seconds,” he says back.

After looking at her watch for a few seconds, she walks out the door.

When You Finish Saving the World is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 20, 2023.

Julianne Moore is also starring in the upcoming movie Sharper with Sebastian Stan.
