NFL Player Damar Hamlin in 'Critical Condition' & Buffalo Bills - Cincinnati Bengals Game Indefinitely Postponed After Safety Suffers Serious Injury

The NFL provided an update on Damar Hamlin after the Buffalo Bills safety collapsed on the field during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

On Monday (January 2), the 24-year-old player collapsed to the ground after tackling Tee Higgins. He was treated on the field for more than 10 minutes by the medical team, who reportedly administered oxygen and used an AED.

Damar was placed on a stretcher and rushed to a local hospital, where he is in “critical condition.”

In a statement shared on Twitter, the NFL confirmed that the Bills-Bengals game was indefinitely suspended.

“Hamlin received immediate medical attention on the field by team and independent medical staff and local paramedics,” they wrote. “He was then transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.”
