- I have 3 dogs and have to stop myself almost daily from adopting another one.
- I made my Broadway debut when I was only 19, understudying Jonathan Groff in Spring Awakening. It was quite a crew with Lea Michele, John Gallagher Jr, Skylar Astin, Krysta Rodriguez…the list goes on!
- I grew up on both the east and west coast, moving from Boston to San Francisco when I was 11 years old.
- I’m a massive tech nerd. I build gaming PCs with custom liquid cooling loops and obsess over the latest gadgets. @isthatmattdoyle on TikTok
- I’m a certified personal trainer. Around 2015, after my 4th Broadway show, I decided I didn’t like ‘claiming’ to know a lot about fitness, so I actually got certified and worked in the fitness industry as a trainer. I really enjoy confusing the hell out of people in terms of my interests.

- I’m a published Comic Book author. My series, Dents, ran on WEBTOON for 3 years with millions of reads. I co-created it with my best-friend, Beth Behrs.
- Beth and I met in high school while working on a community theater production of The Sound of Music. We’ve been attached at the hip ever since. Her dream was to work in film and TV and mine was to be on Broadway.
- I have a bit of a horror movie obsession that I inflicted on myself. I used to not be able to watch scary movies, so one month I decided to desensitize myself with all the classics and it completely spiraled out of control. Now I can’t get enough. I watched every single film on the Rotten Tomatoes ‘200 Best Horror Movies’ list during the pandemic. I was very productive then.
- Huey Lewis was my next door neighbor in high school. Almost 20 years later, I was hired to play the lead in his musical, The Heart of Rock and Roll. They had no idea there was any connection during casting. I told him the first day of rehearsal and he was in shock.
- My partner, Max, is Hugh Jackman’s stand-by in The Music Man.
