Prince Harry Speaks to Rumors James Hewitt Is His Real Dad, Not King Charles

There has been a rampant rumor for so many years that Major James Hewitt is Prince Harry‘s real father.

The rumors mostly began because they both have red hair, and because Princess Diana was linked to him at one point.

Now, in his new memoir “Spare,” Prince Harry is revealing the truth about the rumor, and in the process, spoke out about “sadistic” jokes his father King Charles made about the drama at his expense.

In “Spare,” Prince Harry wrote (via Page Six), “Pa liked telling stories, and this was one of the best in his repertoire. He’d always end with a burst of philosophizing….Who knows if I’m really the Prince of Wales? Who knows if I’m even your real father?” Harry writes. “He’d laugh and laugh, thought it was a remarkably unfunny joke, given the rumor circulating just then that my actual father was one of Mummy’s former lovers: Major James Hewitt. One cause of this rumor was Major Hewitt’s flaming ginger hair, but another cause was sadism.”

Prince Harry revealed the truth, that “my mother didn’t meet Major Hewitt until long after I was born.” Meaning, he can’t be related to Hewitt in any way.

Prince Harry is making SO many revelations and revealing lots of bombshells in the book, and we’ve collected them all here (including a comment about Prince William‘s “baldness,” who he alleges made him wear that Nazi costume, and so much more.)
