'RHOSLC' Star Jen Shah Sentenced After Pleading Guilty in Wire Fraud Case

Jen Shah has been sentenced.

On Friday (January 6), the 49-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star returned to the courthouse in New York City where she received her sentence after pleading guilty to criminal fraud charges stemming from an alleged telemarketing scheme.

Jen was sentenced to 78 months, which is six years and six months, in prison and will be subject to five years of supervised release once she gets out.

Before delivering his sentence, Judge Stein said that he wanted to make sure that everyone knew that Jen was a real person, and not just a reality star figure.

“People should not confuse the character she played on an entertainment show with the person I have before me,” he said. “The other is acting and this is reality.”

In April 2021, Jen and her assistant Stuart Smith were arrested for for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering in a telemarketing scam. At the time, she maintained her innocence after the arrest and pleaded not guilty to the charges, while Stuart plead guilty in November 2021.

After months of claiming she was innocent, Jen entered a guilty plea during her court appearance in July 2022.

Jen made her debut on RHOSLC when the Bravo reality show premiered in 2020. Just recently, she explained why she didn’t attend the season three reunion.

Jen ha been ordered her to surrender herself to prison on February 17.
