Natasha Lyonne Wastes Time on Stage Despite Golden Globes 2023 Going Over Time

Natasha Lyonne had one of the most memorable moments of the 2023 Golden Globes!

Towards the end of the show, the 43-year-old actress took to the stage to present the award for Best Television Series – Drama during the show held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday night (January 10) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Natasha first said that she was going to make things quick since the show was running over time, however, she decided to drag things out a bit.

“Hello all, well I’ve been told to make this quick so forgive my brevity, but we have to end at 11pm,” Natasha started. “So I’m going to cut to the chase and we’ll tap tap and ever, keep it snapping, expedite, get right to it. Please whatever you do, don’t mistake the economy of my speech for curtness.”

“You know, it’s just that whenever one goes on even just a second too long, well the seconds add up. I’m not saying anyone’s to blame of course,” Natasha continued. “I mean the speeches were gorgeous. Let’s be honest. The only true villain here is time herself. AKA death’s chariot.”

“You see time is supposedly empirical,” Natasha went on. “And since time facilitates death, it’s wisest to keep her beat. And so, I now present the nominees for Best Television Series – Drama. Which each honor death in their own beautiful and indelible ways.”

Here are all of the winners from tonight’s Golden Globes!
