Quinta Brunson & Tyler James Williams Win for 'Abbott Elementary' Roles at Golden Globes

Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams are winners!

The two stars won for their roles in the hit ABC comedy series Abbott Elementary at the 2023 Golden Globes on Tuesday night (January 10).

Quinta won Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy while Tyler won Best Supporting Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical-Comedy or Drama.

“Thank you for believing in this show that’s resonated in the world in a way I never would have imagined,” Quinta said while thanking Disney, ABC, 20th Television, and Warner Bros. TV. “But let’s be real — I did imagine it. That’s why I sold it to you.”

In his own acceptance speech, Tyler gave a special shout-out to his character Gregory Eddie.

“I pray that this is a win for Gregory Eddie and for his story and for stories like this that we may understand but his story just as important as all of the other stories that have to be told out here,” Tyler said. “Thank you so much for this.”
