Austin Butler Reacts to Jacob Elordi Taking on Elvis Role

Austin Butler was asked about Jacob Elordi taking on the role of Elvis Presley.

If you don’t know, Jacob and actress Cailee Spaeny are set to star in the newest Elvis and Priscilla Presley focused movie, titled Priscilla. Based on Priscilla‘s own memoir, “Elvis and Me”, Sofia Coppola is set to direct and write.

Austin won the Golden Globe last night for his work in Elvis, so naturally, he was asked about Jacob taking on the role. There’s another layer here that fans are pointing to as well.

Jacob also dated Austin‘s girlfriend Kaia Gerber, but they broke up in November 2021. She was linked to Austin in December 2021 and they have been dating since.

“I just wish him all the best,” Austin responded when asked by Variety about another star taking on the iconic role.

He then added that they have not spoken, adding, “We haven’t spoken, but I hope he has a great time.”
