Jeff Beck Dead - Legendary Guitarist Dies at 78

Jeff Beck has sadly died.
The musician, widely considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time and referred to the “guitarist’s guitarist,” passed away on Tuesday (January 10) at the age of 78, his family confirmed in a statement.
Jeff came into superstardom in the English rock band The Yardbirds, and had won eight Grammys in his career, as well as being considered the No. 5 Greatest Guitarist of All Time by Rolling Stone.
“It is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday. His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss,” the family said in a statement, via THR.
In addition to the Yardbirds, he also led the Jeff Beck Group and Beck, Bogert & Appice. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice, both as a member of the Yardbirds in 1992 and as a solo star in 2009.
Our thoughts are with Jeff Beck‘s loved ones at this difficult time. We have sadly lost several stars already in 2023.
