Zoey 101's Alexa Nikolas Calls Out Paramount+ for Making a Sequel Movie After Her Claims Against Creator Dan Schneider

Alexa Nikolas, who played Nicole Bristow in seasons 1 and 2 of Zoey 101, is calling out Paramount+ for ordering a sequel movie.

It was just announced that Jamie Lynn Spears will be returning as Zoey Brooks in a full-length movie for the streaming service in which the Pacific Coast alumni reunite for a wedding in the present day.

Production is currently underway in North Carolina, and it’s set to air sometime later in 2023. Several stars from the original Nickelodeon TV series are set to return, and some were noticeably missing in the big announcement.

Back in October 2022, Alexa spoke out with claims against Zoey 101 creator Dan Schneider.

“Whenever I had wardrobe fittings, [Schneider] always had to be in them,” Alexa said on the Real Pod podcast. “Thank God there was a curtain, but he was literally [sitting] on [a] chair right outside of the curtain.”

She added, “[It was] to the point where he would sit in the chair, and I would come out and do a little spin. [Schneider] would look at the wardrobe artist and say, ‘Can I have the Polaroids?’”

Alexa also staged a protest outside of Nickelodeon’s headquarters last year.

“I did not feel protected at Nickelodeon as a child, personally,” she said at the time. “I’m demanding that Nickelodeon starts protecting children and not predators.”

So, what is she saying now?

Alexa took to her Twitter account on Thursday (January 12) to react to the news about the new Zoey 101 sequel movie.

“Take note of people in this industry that do not advocate publicly nor privately to create safer environments by even simply supporting individuals close to them that have bravely come forward. Birds of a feather. Flock 👏🏻 together 👏🏻,” she tweeted.

“😵‍💫 Do NOT support a network that can’t even take accountability especially when it comes to CHILDREN. That is beyond low… #nickelodeon,” she added.

Alexa said that her organization Eat Predators will “def be rolling up to @paramountplus 💋🪧.”
