Ralph Fiennes Gets Into Character as Cardinal Lomeli on 'Conclave' Set in Rome
Ralph Fiennes is hard at work on his new movie.
The 60-year-old actor got into character as Cardinal Lomeli as he arrived on set for a day of filming his conspiracy thriller Conclave on Friday (January 13) in Rome, Italy.
The movie, which is being directed by Edward Berger, is based on Robert Harris‘ novel of the same name.

Here’s the synopsis: “Following the death of the Pope, the reluctant Cardinal Lomeli is tasked with overseeing the group of Cardinals from across the globe responsible for selecting a new leader for the Church. But as the political machinations inside the Vatican intensify, he realizes that the departed Pope had kept a secret from them that he must uncover before a new Pope is chosen,” according to Deadline.
Alongside Ralph, John Lithgow will be playing Cardinal Tremblay, Stanley Tucci will be playing Cardinal Bellini, and Isabella Rossellini will be playing Sister Agnes.
In a recent interview, Ralph revealed if he would play Lord Voldemort again in future Harry Potter projects.
