Kali Uchis is kicking off the new year with a brand new song.

The 28-year-old music superstar shared her latest tune, “I Wish You Roses,” on Thursday (January 19).

The release comes alongside a music video directed by Cho Gi-Seok in Korea.

“This song is about being able to release people with love. It could be a friend, a lover, or someone else, but the point is to celebrate releasing people from your life without being resentful or bitter,” she explains of the track.

“Never thought I would be without you / I wish you love, I wish you well / I wish you roses while you can still smell ’em,” she declares on the song.

The song’s release also comes as Kali Uchis was just announced as one of the Coachella performers this year.
