Connie Britton Makes Rare Comments About Her Boyfriend of Three Years, Reveals How They Met

Connie Britton is making rare comments about her boyfriend of more than three years!

The 55-year-old The White Lotus actress opened up about life with boyfriend David Windsor, how they met, and more during an interview on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.

“I have an amazing man in my life now and he is definitely stepping into that more paternal role,” Connie said. She revealed that they started dating in November 2019 and have been going strong ever since then.

For those who don’t know, Connie was previously married to investment banker, and her college boyfriend, John Britton from 1991 until 1995. In 2011, she adopted her son, Eyob “Yoby” Britton, from Ethiopia when he was nine-months-old.

David was also previously married, and shares two kids – Archie and Tilly - with his ex-wife. He is a writer who most recently worked on This Is Us. Other credits include The Real O’Neals, Trophy Wife, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, and What I Like About You.

Connie Britton: And it’s like, that’s hard, that’s huge. To have to try to truly fill both of those roles. And so I, I often have to just, and I mean, I actually, we, I have an amazing man in my life now and he is definitely stepping into that more paternal role.

Andy Cohen: Wow. That’s nice. But how long have you guys been together out of curiosity?

Connie Britton: Like three years.

Andy Cohen: Oh, that’s great. Wow. Right before Covid.

Connie Britton: Right before Covid we started dating.

Andy Cohen: Are you kidding me, no. Where, wait a minute. How far, like what’s the timeline? How far before Covid? So March, 2020 the world shut down.

Connie Britton: Like November before Covid.

Andy Cohen: Wow. So you were already, and what city were you in during Covid, LA?

Connie Britton: LA.

Andy Cohen: Wow. Is he in the business?

Connie Britton: He is.

Andy Cohen: An actor? Musician?

Connie Britton: No. Writer.

Andy Cohen: Oh writer. Were you set up?

Connie Britton: We were. We actually were. We, we went, I went to my dear friend’s 50th birthday. And realized, I walked into his party and I was like, ‘oh my gosh, I don’t know a single soul at this party.’ But I was like, ‘it’s okay, I just wanna celebrate him. It’s his 50th birthday.’ And so I’m talking to my friend and he looks past me and he sees David across the room and he is like, ‘there’s someone here you have to meet.’ And it was like, I’ll never forget that moment because I turned around and I looked at who he was pointing at and I was like, ‘oh yeah, I wanna meet him.’ And then we didn’t, we actually didn’t meet that night because it was like, you know, sit down dinner, separate tables, whatever. And I was like, I have to get home to Yo because I have to wake up early. And my friend was like, ‘wait, wait, wait. I wanted to introduce you to David.’ I’m like, ‘you know what, just have him email me.’

Andy Cohen: Really? Wow. I never would’ve left without going over. That’s incredible. And then…

Connie Britton: But he, David knew everybody at the party and I didn’t know anybody. I wasn’t gonna walk up like a total dork box.

Andy Cohen: And so, wait a minute. How soon after did he email you?

Connie Britton: The next day, very bold.

Andy Cohen: Oh I love it. Jewish man?

Connie Britton: Jewish, Italian. Yeah.

Andy Cohen: I knew it cause his name’s David.

Connie Britton: It’s great combo.

Andy Cohen: Wow. And has he ever been married?

Connie Britton: Yes. Yes. He is divorced.

Andy Cohen: Oh, okay. Great. Good. Kids?

Connie Britton: He has kids too.
