James Gunn Reacts to 'Shazam' Star Zachary Levi's Anti-Vax Tweet

One of the new heads of the DC Universe, James Gunn, is reacting to a viral tweet sent out by one of his film’s big stars.
If you didn’t see, over the weekend, Zachary Levi, the star of the upcoming DC Universe film Shazam: Fury of the Gods, responded to a tweet that read, “Do you agree or not that Pfizer is a real danger to the world?” Pfizer is, of course, one of the major manufacturers of one of the mRNA Covid-19 vaccines. In response, Zachary tweeted, “Hardcore agree.”

James was asked how he felt about the star of his film seemingly declaring himself to be anti-vax. James responded, “Just real simply: Actors and filmmakers that I work with are going to say things that I agree with and things that I don’t agree with. And that’s going to happen. I don’t have a list of things that somebody should say because of what I think. And you know, I can’t be changing my plans all the time because an actor says something that I don’t agree with.”
“By the same token, if somebody’s doing something morally reprehensible then that’s a different story,” he added. “We have to take all that stuff into account. It’s a balance. It’s modern world and it’s a different place.”
As far as we know, these 19 celebrities revealed they are unvaccinated against COVID-19, fueling rumors that they’re all anti-vax.
Shazam 2 hits theaters on March 17, 2023.
