Where Is BTS? Here's Why They're Not at Grammys 2023

BTS is nominated for three awards at the Grammys, but sadly we won’t be seeing the K-Pop group at the show.

The winners are being announced live at the 2023 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 5) at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

BTS is up for Album of the Year for their participation in Coldplay‘s album Music of the Spheres, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “My Universe” with Coldplay, and Best Music Video for “Yet to Come.”

The Korea Herald reports that BTS will not “be present at the event this year as the group is currently on an indefinite break due to military enlistment and solo career commitments.”

A couple weeks ago, BTS group member Jin posted an update after joining the Korean military and he shared photos of himself in uniform.

The group released a statement about their military enlistment back in October 2022. Their plans for after completing their service requirements were also revealed.
