Did Adele Really Walk Out After Harry Styles Won Album of the Year at Grammys 2023? Singer's Viral Reaction to Win Sparks Rumors

Harry Styles took the stage to claim the biggest honor of the night at the 2023 Grammys, and some fans think Adele was not happy about the win.

If you missed it, the 29-year-old Harry’s House musician beat out the competition – including Adele, Beyonce, Bad Bunny and more – to claim the Grammy for Album of the Year in the final moments of the ceremony on Sunday evening (February 5).

In the immediate aftermath, some fans took to social media claiming that Adele left the arena after Harry was announced the winner. Her reaction has gone very viral. But is there any truth in that claim?

Some users on Twitter circulated a video that showed Adele leaving her table during Harry‘s acceptance speech. They claimed that it was evidence she walked out of the venue. Some even claimed that she was mostly upset Beyonce didn’t claim the honor.

After all, Adele did tearfully dedicate her Album of the Year win in 2017 to the Lemonade star in 2017. Many believed that she was rooting for Beyonce to win in 2023.

However, there is simply no truth to the allegation that Adele walked out as Harry spoke. In fact, the camera panned to her several times during her peer’s acceptance speech. She appeared to be very emotional and was happily clapping while looking up at the stage.

This checks out with Adele‘s response to a rumor that she was skipping the Grammys this year.

“I would never miss the Grammys. I would never be as disrespectful to the Grammys or to other artists,” she said, making it very clear that she would cheer on anyone who won at the show.

While Adele clearly did not leave the venue after Harry‘s big win, she did go viral several other times during the ceremony. She met another A-lister and shared a kiss with her boyfriend Rich Paul after picking up her own Grammy onstage.
