Disney Announces 3 Movie Sequels for Fan-Favorite Franchises!

Disney is extending some beloved film franchises!

CEO Bob Iger announced three animated sequels during the Q1 earnings call on Wednesday (January 8).

“Today I’m so pleased to announce that we have sequels in the works from our animation studios to some of our most popular franchises,” he said on the call. “We’ll have more to share about these productions soon. but this is a great example of how we’re leaning into our unrivaled brands and franchises.”

The news comes at the same time as the company revealed the unfortunate news that they’ll be saving $5.5 billion in costs, cutting 7,000 jobs at the company.
