Donald Trump took one of Chrissy Teigen‘s tweets to heart.
The former president of the United States has long been a polarizing figure on Twitter and has warred with various celebrities over the years.
However, it appears that one of the model’s messages was so offensive that he attempted to get Twitter execs to remove it from the social media platform.

The revelation came as former Twitter execs were in Congress on Wednesday (February 8). Rep. Gerald Connolly brought up the situation.
Chrissy‘s tweet stems from a 2019 exchange and refers to Donald as “a p-ssy a-s b-tch.” She called him out after the then-president referred to her as John Legend‘s “filthy mouthed wife” in a tweet of his own.
Anika Collier Navaroli, who worked as a policy official at Twitter, confirmed that the White House “wanted it to come down because it was a derogatory statement directed towards the president,” according to BuzzFeed News.
Despite the request to remove the tweet, Chrissy‘s original message still remains on Twitter.
She took to the platform to react to the revelation that Donald tried to have it removed, simply writing “I…oh my god.”
“I am crying,” she wrote in a follow-up tweet. “I cannot go on.”
