Evangeline Lilly Visits Jeremy Renner & Provides Recovery Update - 'It's a Miracle'

Evangeline Lilly had an update for fans after going to visit her Marvel Cinematic Universe co-star Jeremy Renner.

The 52-year-old Hawkeye actor has been recovering after breaking “30 plus” bones in a horrific snowplow accident earlier this year.

The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania actress, who also co-starred in 2008′s The Hurt Locker with Jeremy, opened up about how he is doing during a recent interview.

Evangeline praised her friend for being “incredibly brave and strong” during a conversation with Access Hollywood.

“I walked in his house and got chicken skin because I was like, ‘Why are you mobile? Why are you mobile? What’s happening,’” she said of their visit. “I expected to sit at his bedside and hold his hand, while he moaned and groaned in pain and wasn’t able to move.”

That was not the case at all: “He was wheeling himself around, laughing with his friends.”

“It’s a miracle. It’s a straight up miracle. He is, he’s made of something really tough, that guy,” Evangeline continued. “And, you know, you’ve always been able to see that in him and he is recovering incredibly.”

Evangeline also reflected on the accident.

“I mean, he had a near death experience that was highly traumatic, and he was awake for the whole thing,” she said. “I’m still having moments where some of the stuff he told me that he experienced and retelling me the story of what went on and the things he could hear and the things that he could see.”

“He’s got a journey to go through now,” she said about his recovery. “That’s like what nightmares are made out of, and he lived through it. And he’s on the other side now.”

Evangeline isn’t the only member of the MCU to wish Jeremy well after the terrible accident. One co-star even joked with Jeremy after he came through the serious situation.
