On Wednesday (February 8), the 78-year-old R&B singer appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show where she revealed that she’s very single, but ready to start dating again.

“How old am I? 78. I was married for 32 years to a wonderful man [ex-husband Armstead Edwards], and we’re still friends, good friends,” Patti shared. “So I think in life I need to find happiness for myself, other than what I had back in the day with him, which was wonderful.”

She added, “But I’m too good to be solo.”

Patti‘s stance on dating has changed over the past few years.

In an interview from back in 2021, Patti said that she was “not interested” in dating again.
