Emmy Awards 2023: Fox Announces Air Date, Show Will Take Place On a Monday

The 2023 Emmy Awards won’t air until September, but we already have details about the show!

The ceremony will air on Fox this year and the show will mark the 75th anniversary of the Emmys. Instead of airing on a Sunday night, like most awards shows, the event will take place on a Monday.

Fox has announced that the Emmys will air on Monday, September 18, 2023. THe show will air from 8-11pm ET and 5-8pm PT.

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place across two nights – Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10. The ceremony will be edited into a presentation that will air on FXX.

The Television Academy and Fox Entertainment said, “What began as a modest ceremony with five awards at the Hollywood Athletic Club has evolved into television’s biggest night, celebrating excellence throughout the industry. In the age of ‘peak TV’ with close to 600 original scripted series, the Academy now recognizes artists, artisans, crafts people and storytellers in nearly 120 categories.”

Nominations will be announced on Wednesday, July 12.
