SZA Becomes Billboard's 2023 Woman of the Year - See Who Else Will Be Honored at Upcoming Ceremony

SZA was announced as Billboard’s 2023 Woman of the Year.

The 33-year-old S.O.S. hitmaker is the 16th artist who will receive the honor since it was originated in 2007. The first recipient was Reba McEntire.

“Since she burst onto the scene in 2017, SZA has defied genres and continually released raw, powerful songs which have landed her music on the Billboard charts,” Hannah Karp, Billboard’s Editorial Director, told the outlet of the decision. “The release of her latest album, SOS has solidified her as a distinct force in contemporary R&B, and catapulted her into superstardom. We can’t wait to honor her as Woman of the Year.”

Other recipients include the likes of Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Pink, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez and Olivia Rodrigo.

SZA will be presented with an award for the honor during the Billboard Women in Music Awards on March 1. Several other prominent artists will be recognized during the ceremony for their work in the industry.
