'Rigged' Trends on Twitter After Conclusion of Super Bowl 2023 - See What Fans are Saying

Disappointed fans took to Twitter and got “rigged” trending after the conclusion of the 2023 Super Bowl.

If you haven’t been keeping up, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles faced off in the big game on Sunday (February 12). The game was close up until the Chiefs broke a tie to take the lead with seconds left.

However, one call from the refs had fans of the Eagles disappointed.

Within the last minutes of play, a ref on the field called a holding penalty against the Eagles, which gave the Chiefs the ability to rally and keep moving forward to put more points on the board.

A multitude of fans disagreed with the call and decided that the game was fixed. They took to Twitter and tweeted it so much that “rigged” became a top trending topic.

“Surprise surprise there was yet another ‘game altering penalty’ in favor of the chiefs that will let them win the game,” a disgruntled fan tweeted. “NFL still wants to tell us this isn’t #rigged”

Another blamed the refs for ruining a “classic game.”
