Abbott Elementary actress Sheryl Lee Ralph kicked off the 2023 Super Bowl with an incredible moment that we’re going to be watching over and over for a while!

The 66-year-old Emmy-winning actress began the pre-show festivities with a performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” on Sunday (February 12) at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

You might remember that Sheryl gave us a memorable moment during her Emmys acceptance speech when she broke out into song. She even got flowers from Beyonce after that big win!

For those who don’t know, “Lift Every Voice and Sing” is known as the Black National Anthem.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would be singing at the Super Bowl,” Sheryl said at the Super Bowl press conference.
