Steve Martin in Pepsi Zero Sugar's Super Bowl Commercial 2023: Great Acting or Great Taste?

Steve Martin is appearing at the 2023 Super Bowl!

The 77-year-old Only Murders in the Building actor and comedian appears in Pepsi Zero‘s 2023 Super Bowl commercial, airing during the big game on Sunday (February 12).

He and Ben Stiller each star in separate ad spots for the new and improved sugar-free soda.

They act way through specific feelings, showing their skill at delivering emotions like joy and disappointment. The idea is that because they’re such great actors, we have no way of knowing whether or not Pepsi Zero Sugar is as good as they say. Therefore, we just have to try it ourselves.

In the ad, Steve does surgery on a collie, gets sad about a small serving at a restaurant, and calls people losers when he beats them at board games.

“It’s not real: it’s acting,” he explains as he tries the beverage. Or is it? “Only one way to find out is to try it yourself.”
