Sheryl Lee Ralph has been married to Pennsylvania Senator Vincent Hughes for over 15 years!

The two met through a mutual friend in the early ’00s and eventually got married at the First African Methodist Episcopal Church in July of 2005.

Her husband, Senator Hughes, has represented the 7th Senatorial district in Pennsylvania since November of 1994, and is the Democratic Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee since 2011.

Among his accomplishments, he created the $60 million School and Community Anti-Violence Fund, giving support to schools and communities to reduce violence.

Prior to their meeting, Sheryl first married French entrepreneur Eric Maurice in 1990. They were together for over a decade, before divorcing in 2001. Two years after tying the knot, they welcomed their oldest child, Etienne Maurice, followed in 1994 by the birth of her daughter Ivy Coco Maurice.
