Variety reports that for the 2023 Super Bowl, where Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles, 113 million viewers tuned in for the telecast.

This marks a six-year high in viewership and ranks it as the third-most-watched television event of all time.

Only two past Super Bowls ranked higher – the 2015 Patriots vs. Seahawks game, and the 2017 Patriots vs. Falcons game. Those each received approximately 114 million views.

Additionally, Rihanna‘s halftime performance also made a huge impact, with 118.7 million views, making it the second-most viewed show ever, just behind Katy Perry‘s 2015 performance.

The streaming numbers were also some for the record books, with the game being the most-streamed Super Bowl ever. It averaged 7 million streams, an 18% increase from the 6 million streams delivered by Fox last year.
