James Gunn Clears Up This Major George Clooney Batman Rumor

Fans are still thinking that George Clooney might return as a version of Batman in one of James Gunn‘s planned DC Universe films.

If you recall, George played the masked superhero in 1997′s Batman & Robin, but has yet to return to the role in anything else.

With a lot of talk about the projects James and Peter Safran have as the new heads of Warner Bros’ DC franchises, it’s not wrong to ask about the possibility.

However, James just put an end to the conversation.

When a fan asked James about the possibility that George could return in any capacity as a Batman, James shot them down fast.

“Absolutely not,” he wrote in a reply.

James also confirmed that a brand new actor would portray the superhero in any future projects.

The news comes just before the brand new trailer for The Flash debuted, where not just one, but TWO former Batman actors were featured.
