Jennifer Lawrence Hosts Screening for Oscar-Nominated 'Causeway' Co-Star Brian Tyree Henry, Who Says She Manifested His Nom

Jennifer Lawrence is supporting her Causeway co-star Brian Tyree Henry during his Oscar campaign!

The 32-year-old actress hosted a screening and Q&A of the movie and moderated a panel with Brian on Monday night (February 13) at The London hotel in West Hollywood, Calif.

In Causeway, Jennifer stars as Lynsey, a soldier struggling to adjust back home in New Orleans following a traumatic injury. When she meets local mechanic James (Henry), the pair begin to forge an unexpected bond.

Brian opened up about his Best Supporting Actor nomination earlier that day at the Oscars Nominees Luncheon and told E! News about how Jennifer manifested his nom.

Brian says that Jennifer‘s advice to him was, “Don’t trip, because I was like, I don’t have a gown to cover mine. But you know, she’s been really supportive. She’s somebody that doesn’t take a lot of this too seriously. She really just wants to meet good people and do good work. So in that essence, it’s never been anything too heavy. She has been an incredible support. We text each other and just call each other names and just, you know, but she’s been a good friend through this, so I’m very grateful.
