The Kansas City Chiefs Weren't Allowed to Watch Rihanna's Super Bowl Halftime Show

The Kansas City Chiefs had no chance of pouring it up with Rihanna.

The team, who successfully beat out the Philadelphia Eagles at the 2023 Super Bowl on Sunday (February 12) in Arizona, was not allowed to watch the 34-year-old Anti singer’s halftime show.

Patrick Mahomes revealed during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday (February 13) that coach Andy Reid threatened to bench anyone who left the locker room for the show.

Coach Reid told us, he said, ‘If you go out to watch the performance, just keep walking, because you’re not playing the rest of the game,’” he said.

It’s not the first time that’s happened: Bengals star kicker Evan McPherson was seen watching the 2022 halftime show, and one of his coaches later panned him for it, via TMZ.

No Kansas City Chiefs player was spotted watching the halftime show, although Patrick Mahomes said he was told it was a good show.
