Ellen Pompeo Clarifies News About Her 'Grey's Anatomy' Exit & Her 'Final' Episode

An upcoming episode of Grey’s Anatomy has been billed as Ellen Pompeo‘s final one by lots of media outlets.

Now, the longtime star of the hit ABC drama is clarifying some reports about her status on the show.

ET caught up with Ellen while she was in attendance at one of the NYFW shows and told them, “For the record, it’s not really my final. It’s a little bit of a trick they’re playing on people.”

“It is my final episode for a while,” she clarified. So there you have it. She’ll be back…at some point! Her “final” episode is set to air on February 23 on ABC.
