Austin Butler Talks 'Zoey 101' Revival, Shares His Thoughts About Joining Cast of Upcoming Movie

Austin Butler reflected on his Zoey 101 days and the upcoming movie Paramount+ is creating for the off-air Nickelodeon series.
If you forgot, the 31-year-old actor played James Garrett on the series in 2007 before his days as the Oscar-nominated star of Elvis.
With a new Zoey 101 movie in the works, is Austin planning on reprising his role? He opened up about his time on the show in a new interview.

“I’m so grateful for all those stepping stones that I had throughout my career. Zoey 101 – that was a big turning point for me because it was the first time I was ever a series regular on a show,” Austin told Variety. “So I got to be a part of an entire season.”
He continued, saying “I remember getting my first line on a TV show and that was huge for me. You have all these different moments that are pivotal for you.”
Is the nostalgia enough for him to want to join the movie cast?
“I haven’t heard anything about that, but I don’t know,” he said. “But now I’m just going after whatever story that resonates with me. Or whatever director or actors that I want to work with so yeah.”
While Austin hasn’t confirmed that he will be involved in the movie, seven original stars from the Nickelodeon series are confirmed for the upcoming movie.
Meanwhile, another Zoey 101 actor called out the movie earlier this year.
