Evangeline Lilly Speaks Out About The Backlash To Her Controversial Anti-Vaxx Rally Post

Evangeline Lilly is opening up about her decision to post the pictures from the anti-vaccine mandates rally in Washington D.C. that she attended last year.
At the time, the 43-year-old Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star declared that no one should be forced to do something out of fear.
“I understand the world is in fear, but I don’t believe that answering fear with force will fix our problems. I was pro choice before COVID and I am still pro choice today,” she had written on her Instagram.
During an interview with Esquire, Evangeline looked back on not only her decision to share the images, but also the controversy that surrounded it.

Evangeline admitted that she asked herself “about 600 times” on whether it was a good decision to share the image or not.
“I know the beast that I’m attacking. I know that I have a little pebble and there’s this f***ing Goliath giant. If I shoot this pebble, it’s going to wake the giant,” she shared.
She added, “I just wanted people out there who were struggling because they were under severe pressure to do something they didn’t want to do to know that they weren’t alone, and to know that there were people who actually felt they had a right to say no.”
This wasn’t Evangeline‘s first anti-vaxx opposition that she shared.
In March of 2020, she made headlines over refusing to social distance. She later apologized for her views.
