Richard Belzer Dies at 78, 'Longtime Friend' Confirms His Final, Expletive Filled Words

Richard Belzer, known for his work as Detective Munch on both Law & Order: SVU and Homicide: Life on the Street, has passed away at the age of 78 at his home in Bozouls in southwest France.

A longtime friend of his confirmed the star died on Sunday (February 19), but did not want to be publicly identified. He also revealed the actor had health issues, and revealed his final words, which have been censored as they contain some expletives.

A longtime friend told THR, “He had lots of health issues, and his last words were, ‘F-ck you, motherf-cker.’”

He is survived by his wife Harlee McBride, who he married in 1985, as well as stepdaughters Jessica and Bree.
