Richard Gere is On the Mend After Being Hospitalized With Pneumonia While on Vacation

Richard Gere was under the weather while his family was on a trip to Mexico, but he is on the mend now.

Over the weekend, TMZ reported that the 73-year-old Pretty Woman star was hospitalized with a bad case of pneumonia while his family was vacationing. He reportedly developed a cough that led to the decision to seek treatment.

His rep confirmed that he had been ill, and his wife offered some insight in a recent post on social media.

Richard‘s rep let Deadline know that the star was on the mend with his family by his side.

His wife Alejandra Silva hinted that the whole family had been under the weather while sharing a photo with her kids during the trip.

“After almost 3 weeks of everyone being sick in our family today finally I feel much better! Thank you for all the love ❤️ I give it all back to you,” she wrote on Instagram.
